As a result of our daughter’s music lessons with Music Funtime, she is more confident, communicative, and has developed an increased attention span, in addition to a growing appetite and appreciation for various types of music and musical instruments. All of this, and she is not even 2 years old! We are very much looking forward to continuing on this journey of discovery and learning with Music Funtime.

People can’t believe that Courtney is four years old and reading music. Courtney loves the crafts, interaction with the other children, and the performances. As an educator, I see all of the benefits of learning music at a young age and how it is developing her reading and math skills. And the best part of the program is Deb! She is great with kids and knows how to get them to work hard while having fun!

My daughter started Music Fun Time at Old Towne Music in March 2010.  She was 26 months old.  Maddie loved to dance and sing so I wanted to find a class that would offer a more formal introduction to music.  I had no idea how much Maddie would actually learn! Within a few weeks she recognized a whole note, staff, and treble clef, and could bang out the rhythm of the ABC song on her drum!  Now at the end of her second 8 week session, she has performed on stage at Rowan University, knows how many beats the different notes get, and is close to mastering where E, G, B, D, and F are on the staff.  She’s 2!  My husband and I are so impressed with her progress.

Miss Debi is a fantastic teacher.  She is extremely patient and uses many different manipulatives and activities to keep the children engaged.  There is no doubt she cares for the children in her classes.  My daughter loves going to “Miss Debi’s house”– as she calls it!

I just want to thank you for helping me expose my two daughters to the wonderful world of music.

The structure of your class and your patience makes learning very easy.  My 4 yr old and 2 yr old enjoy the excitement that you bring with the in-class projects and games.  They’re having so much fun that they don’t even realize that they’re learning to read music at the same time.

Again, thank you for making the Arts fun for my children

Coming from a musical background, music is a part of my famiy’s every day life. Both my husband and I have been in search of a music class that was fun, age appropriate and that offered exposure to music different from what our children were used to.

Music Funtime invited us to attend a free trial class and by the end of the 30 minutes the excitement in my children’s faces spoke volumes – I knew that this was the class for them.

The classes are small, which enables the teacher to give the children personalized attention and guidance.  The curriculum and activities are age appropriate and taught in a nurturing and comfortable environment.  My children truly enjoy themselves, as they sing songs, play their instruments and make music related arts and crafts with their new friends.  From a simple observation, not only are my children learning the basics concepts of music and math, but they are also learning the invaluable lessons of listening, sharing as well as strengthening their self-confidence.

This class has also given my husband, children and I the opportunity outside of the classroom to share and learn from one another as we make music together as a family.

My three year old daughter has been enrolled in the Music Funtime program for over a year. She has not only grasped the concepts of music theory, she is already understanding mathematical equations. Music Funtime has provided her with self and social awareness. Learning to play music has improved her memorization skills, letter recognition and spatial reasoning.
She relates the world around her with whatever she learns in music class. her attention span has allowed her to engage in weekly private lessons along with the Music Funtime program.
The Music Funtime program has been and will continue to be the best investment for the future of my daughter.

You are a wonderful teacher! We are so happy to have met you! Happy Teacher Week!
